For Catholics, the Sacrament of Baptism is the first step in a lifelong journey of commitment and discipleship. It is often called the “Door of the Church” as it is the first of seven sacraments. It initiates a person into the Catholic faith and welcomes them as a member of the church.
The Baptism of Infants are held on Sundays at 1:00 p.m. or during weekend Masses. Required Baptism Preparation classes are held every March, June, September, and December in the Parish's De Paul Center at 2:00 PM. Please call the Parish Office at 216-252-2626 to make arrangements for your child’s Baptism.
The Baptism of Adults typically takes place during the Easter Vigil Mass (Saturday night before Easter) and after the person has gone through the R.C.I.A. program. R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is an ongoing inquiry program about the Catholic faith. Call the Parish Office at 216-252-2626 for further information.
