Over the last few months, we've heard words such as "cancelled" or "postponed" or "rescheduled" many, many times due to the coronavirus pandemic.  We too have had to cancel or postpone a number of different events.  Our year-long parish mission, for example, is on hold & I am in touch with our planned speakers to figure out when we want to try giving that a go again.

  Another annual summer event that we will have to postpone this year, is our parish picnic @ each parish.  Unfortunately, those events will not be able to happen this year, but we are hoping & planning on celebrating well in the summer of 2021.

   Even though we are not having a parish picnic @ either parish this summer, that doesn't mean that there isn't any fun to be had.  The picnic may be cancelled, but that doesn't mean the raffle that normally takes place @ the picnic isn't going to happen.  The raffles will still be taking place!  I will be sharing more details @ Mass @ each parish over the next few weekends, but basically tickets will be available for pick up (after Mass or in the Parish Office) starting @ the end of June & throughout July.  On Tuesday, August 11th (my first anniversary of being installed as Pastor) we will have a virtual drawing for each raffle.  The drawings will be held from my office & broadcast on Facebook Live.  Hopefully next year we'll be back to having each drawing in person.

   Just one final clarification, these are 2 separate raffles & NOT a combined raffle.  Each parish will be having the raffle that they normally would hold during their respective picnic, but the winners will be drawn all on the same day.
