I come to St. Vincent de Paul and St. Patrick parishes as a Senior Parochial Vicar, ordained 45 years next month. When the retirement age was increased From 70 to 75 “Senior Parochial Vicar” was created to cover the extended time until retirement. I have had a variety of assignments, including campus ministry and parishes in city, inner-ring suburbs, suburbs, exurbs, and country settings. I am the oldest of four brothers, with one recently deceased. I was born in Oklahoma, grew up in Akron and Westlake and went to school at Borromeo High School and College and St. Mary Seminaries. My degrees are in history and historical theology. I have a great love for history, especially American and Church history. I had relatives who lived many years at St. Patrick and my mother taught 5th grade at St. Patrick in the mid-60’s. This time of year I would be put into service preparing her classroom. I look forward to meeting and ministering to you.
