Hi there, everyone! Hope that you’re having a great week! I am away this weekend & throughout the upcoming week spending some time refreshing & relaxing with friends while Angel is refreshing & relaxing at “Hotel Grandma” (she says it’s a 10 star hotel & I agree).

  Next weekend we will participate in our annual Diocesan Catholic Charities appeal. The theme of this year’s appeal is “A time to heal, a time to help.” Some may have already received an invitation to give in the mail, I invite you, if you have & are able, to respond generously to the invitation to help those around us.   If you have the time, I would strongly encourage you to check out the video for this year’s appeal. We’ll play an audio recording from Bishop Malesic next weekend at Mass, but the video CD helps in a tremendous way to put a face to the appeal. I think that it gives us an opportunity to see exactly whose lives our generosity is making a difference in. It can be easy to think of it as just being asked to put some money in an envelope to help someone somewhere at some point in time, but through this video we can see exactly who we are giving the opportunity to heal & to help.
