Happy Easter! It’s Angel again. I wanted to take the opportunity this weekend to share with you my favorite moment from Easter. It happened about 2:00 in the afternoon that day, when I jumped up on my grandma’s couch & saw my dad getting out of his car. I was so excited!
It’s Angel, Fr. John’s companion &, as I like to think about it, his “boss.” My dad’s been a bit busy working with everyone to make sure that everything is ready for this week, so I told him that I would put together a little something for this week’s bulletin to help him out.
I know that over the past month or so, you’ve been hearing about some of the upcoming changes that we’re looking at around both parishes, especially when it comes to our Masses. It’s not easy to think about change, is it?
It’s Angel again, hope you’re having a great summer! I know I’m enjoying the time being able to sniff outside & take walks without the snow touching my belly (it’s tough being short you know).

Hi, everyone! It’s Angel again. I hope Tat, like my treats, your blessings are abundant! He doesn’t get to do it all the time during the winter, he says it’s because of the cold and how early it gets dark, but I LOVE when my dad takes me for a walk. When I see him putting his shoes on or when I hear him say those 4 letters, I wag my tail & bark for joy!
Hi there, everyone! It’s Angel! My dad’s been doing a lot for Advent & Christmas so I wanted to help him out and write today’s column. Let me start out by wishing you all a Happy New Year! As we begin this new year, we enter, in many ways, into the unknown. While we certainly have our hopes, plans, & dreams for today & the upcoming 364 days of this year, in many ways the course of this new year is unknown.
Hi there, everyone! It’s “the boss,” Angel, here again. My dad asked me to write a column again as this week on Monday (Halloween) marks 3 years since I hopped up on my dad’s lap at the rescue agency & told him to pick me. And boy am I glad he did. I am so, so happy to be here with all of you! I hope you are doing well! Here we are, right at the cusp of November. I know that my dad loves November because his birthday is in it, but I dread those months where my bathroom gets covered in snow!
Hi everyone, it’s Angel again! As we come to the close of this month I asked my dad if I could write to you about something serious. This month of September is National Suicide Prevention Month. I did some reading and I found out that suicide is the 12th leading cause of death in the United States, claiming, in 2020, the lives of roughly 45,000 people. Those are some high numbers!
Hi, everyone! It’s Angel again. My dad asked me to thank you for reading our bulletin series on prayer. He says that he wants to thank you & that he hopes & prays that you’ve gotten something out of it that has helped you on your spiritual journey. He also wants to thank you because our last form of the 5 forms of Catholic prayer is prayers of thanksgiving.
HI everyone, it’s Angel again! My dad says that this weekend’s gospel talks about something called prayer. I wonder if prayer is like when I’m begging dad for treats? Maybe, maybe not? Dad says that we should all be engaging in on a daily basis as a part of our faith journey, prayer. He says that prayer isn’t just a part of our relationship with God, prayer IS our relationship with God. But, why do we pray? What is the point of prayer? I asked my dad to explain it all to me, here’s what he told me.
Hi everyone! It’s Angel here again with another episode of “ Angel’s Angle’s!” My dad has been busy over the past few days packing, so I’m giving him a paw again. He tells me that this Thursday he leaves for something called vacation. Dad says that while he’s on vacation, I’ll be on vacation as well at grandma’s. We’ll both leave this Thursday and we will see you again on July 11th.
Hi there, everyone! It’s Fr. John’s “Boss” Angel again! My dad told me that many people enjoyed when I helped him with his column for Palm Sunday, so he asked me if I would be willing to help him by writing a column once a month. I told him that for a few extra treats a day, I’d be willing. My dad agreed, so here we are with the second installment of Angel’s Angle’s (I came up with the name all by myself, don’t let my dad tell you any different and take any of the credit).
